Objective: Its aim is to undertake comprehensive projects for the reforestation and afforestation of mangrove ecosystems along the coastal districts of India.
2. Indian scientists have developed a modern-day 'Brahmastra' with an astonishing speed of 12,144 km per hour.
Brahmastra Missile:
This weapon, named the Long Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRASHM), is a hypersonic glide missile.
❖ It was developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
❖ It outperforms similar missiles like China's DF-17 in terms of range and technology.
❖ It can be deployed from both land and sea, operates at 10 Mach.

He reiterated India's unwavering support for Mauritius' sovereignty over the Chagos Archipelago, following an agreement between the UK and Mauritius in 2024.
4. Tahawwur Hussain Rana, a Pakistani-origin Canadian-American accused of involvement in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, was extradited from the U.S. to India on April 9, 2025.
He was formally arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and produced before a special NIA court in Delhi.
His extradition has become a political flashpoint between the BJP and the Congress.

6. Ministry of Earth Sciences launched "ICE-CRUNCH" and also inaugurated India's first High-Altitude Climat Research Station.
ICE-CRUNCH (Ice nucleating particles and cloud condensation nuclei properties in the North-Western Himalayas)" is collaborative study between scientists of India and Switzerland,
High Altitude Climate Research Station:
Location: Nathatop, Jammu and Kashmir
Objective: Climate research, capacity building, training of young scientists, and development of climate modelling capabilities.
❖ Key Role: It will serve as a long-term research hub affiliated with the World Meteorological Organization's (WMO) Global Atmospheric Watch (GAW) Programme
